Import slideshow from PowerPoint, Keynote, Impress... function.
Ability to import/link to a slideshow from PowerPoint, Keynote, Impress or another slideshow creation software.
Maybe even make the slides editable on Proclaim(or at least make the text on the slides editable)
We support importing PPT from Windows and Mac and Keynote from Mac.
There were quite a few other good ideas in the comments here. Would everyone please create new items for them.

The Proclaim team never ceases to amaze me! I stand corrected...it is possible to import Keynote :)

I've heard that no presentation software can incorporate Keynote because Apple hasn't released the API. So, I assume Proclaim won't be able to import Keynote presentation files.

You can save a PowerPoint file as an "Outline/RTF" file, open the RTF, and copy the text into the main content, and break it up as needed. That's the fastest way I've found to add it as text.

Ditto on the Keynote support request below. Please support Keynote too!

Is there any news on further PowerPoint integration such as allowing transitions and animations? One somewhat clunky option might be to export the intermediate states of transitions and animations to a series of slides, so that in effect Proclaim shows a stop-frame animation of what was in the original PowerPoint.

Will Keynote users have to export to ppt to import slideshows? We lose fonts and some effects to do this. As a Mac User I would love to see Keynote support not as just images, but with build ins and the other effects included.

The ability to edit the PowerPoint Slides as well as break the series into separate items would be great, too.

Every guest speaker we have had in the last year has brought us a PPT presentation on a thumb drive, sometimes only 15 minutes before the service. Most of these are composed of 30 to 50 individual slides, and often include animations. Using the bulk image import makes it much easier to accommodate them, but it is also time-consuming, especially in "crunch time."

Agreed - even a macro in PowerPoint to export the images and open Proclaim to import in bulk would make this better, but I'd really prefer to let PowerPoint do the heavy lifting, rather than just hand it images.

I would personally prefer to have the most used features of presentation softwares in proclaim so we can build these slides in proclaim instead of making them in another software, importing them and if they need to be changed, having to go back into the presentation software and reimport them to get them to work/look right

I would LOVE this feature! Even an import function would be wonderful.

I'd also really love to be able to retain the single slide transitions - text moving/adding/showing a pic on the same slide, etc. I hate that stuff but the pastor loves it and uses it heavily.

the lack of a bulk image importer is truly the greatest limitation Proclaim has at this point

The easiest way to do this is just save your PPT presentation as jpg files and then upload to proclaim as images. What we really need is a bulk image importer.

Link out to a PPT is my vote. Running the PPT within a 3rd party app like Proclaim, while desirable, is always kludgy and problematic. Keeping it working well across multiple versions of PPT is ugly. It's not worth the effort IMO. Just make it easy to go out to a PPT presentation from Proclaim and I'll be happy.
