Add 'Secondary' Transition for transitions between identical song slides.
I don't think Proclaim allows different slide transitions within a song or item.
99% of the time, I use the fade transition. But, when a slide is repeated, the fade transition does not provide any visual cue that the slide has changed or advanced. In those situations, I like to use a more dynamic transition to provide a visual cue that the slide has indeed advanced.
So, I would like to see a feature added where different slide transitions can be used WITHIN a song or item in Proclaim.
To accomplish that while not overly complicating the UI, I suggest adding a 'Secondary Transition' option. Proclaim could then use the secondary transition whenever the next slide is the same as the current slide. Thus, my goal is all automated without even needing to think about it when building the slideshow.
Here is a mock-up that I made from some photo-shopped screenshots demonstrating my idea and how it could be implemented.

A more flexible approach would be to allow different transitions per slide, but I think that would make the user interface more complicated.
Also, there is a request to add a 'Fade-through-black' transition, which I support. But, my request is a little different.

There's a forum post about this:

Sorry for the spam. If you're going to do this, might I also suggest a separate transition for the title slide. No reason the title slide needs to fade fast at 0.5 (or 0.2?), even though the text slides do need to fade fast.

Oh yeah, one other way to work around this is to split the repeated slide into 2 slides. Then instead of A,A, it's A,B,A,B which provides the cues to the congregation.

Literally had this exact situation yesterday. "I've got peace like a river...in my soul" exact same 4 lines repeated twice. I used the "door" transition for the exact reason stated, so it's obvious the slide moved to the next slide. Of course the 'door' transition was on the title slide also, where fade would have been better.
Also, agree, fade through black would provide the same cue that the slide has changed.
