  1. I'd love to see automatic audio normalization/equalization
Automatic audio normalization that adjusts all sound so it outputs at the same level. During Easter week I had so little time that I didn't process all of our music and videos so that they had a standard volume. The result was having to move quickly to the sound board (the sound guy was away) to adjust audio several times.

  2. Currently, when a line of lyrics in a song is too long, Proclaim shrinks the text to make it all fit on one line. It would be very helpful to have an option to disable this feature, and keep the text the same size, but just have it wrap to the next line (with or without an indent, in case we wanted to still denote the original line "structure" of the song...like Powerpoint does. As it is now, with the autosize feature, text between songs ends up being different sizes and sometimes too small to read, despite having the font…

  3. Currently the only editing option in Proclaim seems to be trimming the recording beginning and end. Other basic editing operations such as normalizing, amplifying (e.g. raise a quiet recording to 0 dB), applying compression or removing noise require locating the audio data and running the operations with Audacity or other editor.

I would like to see additional basic audio clean-up operations within Proclaim to allow fast publishing of a sermon even if a few of those additional fixes are needed.

  5. Allow changing the opacity of an image before applying to a background. Every song has a different mood, so sometimes you want stronger, bolder background images, and other times you want less visible backgrounds so the words pop out better. Allow opacity changing after you apply the image to the background similar to how you already allow sizing to fit the background. This will help prevent the need to upload multiple copies of the same image with different opacity settings.

  6. If single images or videos are attached to a service item in Planning Center, allow that media (via checkbox, or other UI element) to be imported as the background for the content item

If multiple images are attached to a service item, offer to have them imported as an image slideshow

  7. More than 1 line of the song in the confidence monitor, as most fast songs go through the 1st line really fast there isn't enough time. Even basic programmes like ppt has that function therefore I'm absolutely certain it wont be too hard for you too! Also split the screen so it can go on the side of the main lyrics or give the option to users to choose how much they want to show for the next slide.

  8. We are not up and running on Faithlife yet. We have a group of testers trying out digital bulletin and Faithlife Study Bible apps, but don't want the whole church trying to go to the website and play along. It would be great if we could hide the website, or be able to create a text box & fill with background to simply cover over it until we need it. Thanks!

  9. Prezi gives a unique presentation experience. If I could add this to the functionality and features of Proclaim, it'd be great for Biblical text, musical lyrics, and have the best presentation on the web!

  10. Hi, in "add item" - "Reuse", we're having difficulty remembering what we called a song or video and can't find the file even though it is there. It would be really helpful if a song leader could sort the lists of videos and songs alphabetically. Must be some way to to this. Even if we could export the reuse list to Excel it would help.

  11. We can preview video items from Proclaim in the media browser, but we can't preview videos that we have uploaded in our group upload board. Sometimes the title and tag are not enough to identify a video or whether it's appropriate for the current slide.

  12. I often put scripture slides in the middle of songs, especially if there is an instrumental break. I usually format them differently, using a Serif font instead of sans-serif, and italicized. But there is no way to do that in Proclaim. The only work around is to setup the Scripture as another slide, but then it looks just like the other slides. (Centered at the top of the screen, same font.)

  13. Powerpoint has the ability to "hide" slides so that you can see them in edit mode, but if you use the keyboard arrows or click on the preview arrows to advance, the program will skip over them and not display them to the audience.

There are several uses for such slides.

    1. Biggest is we have a pretty standard weekly service format, but it does vary occasionally. When we're not using a particular service item in that spot, it would be nice to keep it in there (cuz we'll probably use it next week) but to "hide" it for this week…

  14. It would be great to be able to make any selection of text within a single text box any colour.

At the moment it seems that you can only have one main font colour per text box, with the 9 or so emphasis colours able to be used on selections of text within the text box.

However, these colours often do not stand out the way my church needs. We use lots of congregational prayers on-screen, and to be able to change the colour of the response text to something bright would be really helpful.

  15. It seems that this exceptional software can ONLY be used INSIDE a church building. We have a growing need to expand our ministry to the web (streaming video, etc.) as quite a few of our Elderly members are unable to come to church regularly due to illness, etc. Please consider adding functionality to support streaming on the web as it would add greatly to our ministry for the sick and shut-in.

    God Bless you
    Preston

  19. I use Gospel Project for kids. They give us a ton of images only saved in PDF format rather than jpeg format. It would be great to display PDF files for this reason. Thanks for your consideration! I like using Proclaim a lot and this little thing would help so much more.
