    If you could trigger a script that would allow anything you'd like, calling a URI, REST, etc.

    I think this title could be updated to better describe what we're looking for, for example, "Add Open Sound Control (OSC) capability to control signals for Lighting control and other devices"

    In addition to the above, OSC gives the capability of controlling fader levels, so you could potentially have Hue-style RGB (and RGBW) color matched backgrounds on a wide range of lighting devices. The DMX control software QLC+, for example, supports OSC in this manner.
