Allow text box to have color and border options
Any way to allow the text box to have color and border options? Some backgrounds have a focal rectangle created where you can place text, but it would be nice if you could take the rectangle the text is already built in and have the extent of the box colored as the background, allow transparency, and even have a border around it. That way you can shape the focal point of the text around the actual text and you're not confined by the background image. This would also greatly help with slide images that use a lot of light and dark colors and make it hard to show contrast between the text and the slide.
Textboxes can have backgrounds shapes added to them via the Effects menu

Looks like this has been added. THANKS!!! I love this feature. I really hate using drop shadows and outer glow so much to get text to pop on a slide. Having a background fill for a text box is so much cleaner and more professional looking.

Any update on the status of this planned feature? I see that a year ago it was planned for a future release. Any timetable available for this feature?

Since the adding of color is planned could a transparency level be added to a textbox as well?

Something like Haiku Deck https://www.haikudeck.com/ would be nice for contrast when using video backgrounds like AppleTV's screensavers. http://benjaminmayo.co.uk/watch-all-the-apple-tv-aerial-video-screensavers

Also if there were borders around the text box, allow corner radius options so they appear to have rounded corners.
